Diamond Life is a 501(c)(3). Our organization believes representation matters and we strive to increase diversity in softball. We want to expose underrepresented female youth to this amazing sport, as softball can teach life skills that are useful beyond the diamond.

 

Getting involved in sports helps to develop a sense of self, moral character, social interaction and better health. Additionally, participation in sports can be a way to learn skills like teamwork and goal-setting. Research has shown that young female athletes generally have higher academic test scores and are more likely to graduate from college.

 

 

Athletes and programs need to be equipped to play and be competitive. Diamond Life understands that financial aspects can play a role in limiting a young athlete’s participation. Understanding the financial constraints on families, our goal is to ease the financial burden by providing funds to support registration and the cost of proper equipment. These efforts, in conjunction with our multifaceted program model, will set young ladies and their parents up for success.
